Shin's having trouble controlling Ouki's glaive, resulting in him receiving a wound; his timing with the glaive was off. Still, Shin's carving his way through the Zhao soldiers while compaining that the glaive is 'fricking heavy'. The moutain people's cacalry has also made it into the city and is tearing the Zhao apart of course. Shin(?) says that once they've conquered the inside and taken the lord of the castle/city prisoner, Retsubi will have fallen. Ouhon & co arrive at Retsubi. They're shocked that Retsubi already appears to have fallen despite only half a day having gone by. Qin soldiers cheering his heard from inside the city. If I read it correctly, Ouhon & co spots Shin standing on the top of the main castle of the city waving the Hi Shin unit's flag/banner. Ouhon's only comment to this is 'That idiot.'. Shin laughs. Retsubi is offically declared taken.
We're shown some reactions; Mouten seems kinda embarrassed they didn't get to do anything; Kanki's disappointed because orders are to let the inhabitants of Retsubi flee with their belonings (so, no raping & pillaging for Kanki & co this time around). Back to the Hi shin Unit. Ousen appears where Ten is, giving his own men orders that all districts are to be throrougly investigated. and walls checked. Ousen's men tells Ten & co to leave because they'll take care of the aftermath. Ten thinks it's all because it's to secure Retsubi; it is now Qin's 'Breathing hole' as far as the invasion is concerned, for they need to pass supplies from there and on to attack Gyou. Later, Kousonryu is receives a message that Retsubi has fallen. His men want to press on regardless, but Kousonryu gives orders for the army to turn around. His men protest, accusing him of abandoning Retsubi, but Kousonryu says it's the plan devised by Riboku that they have to follow in order to 'stop the Qin in the middle of their act' or however one should out it.
At this point, the narration notes that 'No one but Ousen noticed the existence of this scheme Riboku had devised that Kousonryu spoke of'. Ousen is shown on the walls while saying '...... I see, so that's it... Riboku...". The narration then notes that Ousen could 'hear the sound of cracks appearing in the invasion plan/strategy that Shouheikun had devised'.
